Nov. 20—GRAND FORKS — Grand Forks received five honorees as the North Dakota High School Coaches Association released the North Dakota Class AA all-state football teams on Wednesday.
Grand Forks Central senior Naz Fisher was picked as a running back to the first team offense, while teammate Brooklan Bruce was a first team defensive back. Grand Forks Red River’s Matt Dosch was a first team defensive back, as well.

Grand Forks Central’s Eli Thompson and Eli Fischer were both selected to the all-state second team.
Fisher ran 133 times for 974 yards with 14 touchdowns. On defense, he had 31 solo tackles and 3.0 tackles for loss.
Bruce made 41 catches for 693 yards and six touchdowns. On defense, he had 29 tackles, three interceptions and two fumble recoveries.
Dosch, who split time at wide receiver and quarterback, ended the year with 1,051 passing yards on 94-for-156 passing. He also had 88 carries for 322 yards and 12 touchdowns rushing. Dosch added six interceptions as a defensive back.
Central’s Thompson, a 6-foot-2 senior tight end and linebacker, caught 15 passes for 170 yards and a touchdown. On defense, he had 34 tackles, 4.0 sacks, 9.0 tackles for loss and two interceptions.

Fischer, a 6-1, 225-pound junior lineman, had 20 tackles and 3.0 tackles for loss.
State champion Devils Lake placed four on the all-state list, led by Outstanding Senior Athlete of the Year Mason Palmer. Firebirds coach Todd Lambrecht was named the class’ Coach of the Year.
Palmer, a senior, was named to the first team offense, along with senior running back Bryar Exner. Juniors Will Heilman and Casey Brown made the second team.
Palmer finished the year throwing for 2,696 yards with 31 touchdowns to six interceptions.
Exner ran for 1,744 yards and 17 touchdowns.
The 6-foot-1 Heilman caught 41 passes for 632 yards and eight touchdowns.
Brown, a 6-5, 265-pound lineman, paved the way for an offense that run for more than 2,200 yards and passed for nearly 2,700 yards.
