David Bailey and Romello Height have set a ridiculously high standard this season for Texas Tech football edge defenders.
Bailey, who joined the Red Raiders in April from Stanford, leads the FBS with 12 1/2 sacks and is one of four finalists for the Lombardi Award that honors the college football’s top linemen and linebackers. Height, who joined the Red Raiders in January from Georgia Tech, has 7 sacks and 2 forced fumbles. They’re vital cogs on a 10-1 Tech team that boasts the FBS’ third-ranked scoring defense.

Now the Red Raiders hope to add another disruptive player where those two came from: the NCAA transfer portal.
