GLADEVILLE — Wilson Central’s girls never trailed Tuesday night as the dominated visiting James Lawson 59-33 in a season-opening TSSAA Hall of Champions game.
The Lady Wildcats scored the first six points and ended the first quarter in front 13-5. James Lawson drew to within 13-8 early in the second before Central pulled away, closing the first half on a 13-3 run to lead 36-11.

Central opened a 42-11 lead during the third quarter and took a 51-21 lead into the fourth as Coach Jason Knowles began emptying his bench.
Point guard Freedom Pfeil led the Lady Wildcats with 17 points, all in the first half, including two second-quarter 3-pointers. Kyhie Moss and Eliana Ramsey each added 11 while Callie Mirghavami and Olivia Kinning finished with five apiece, Brylee Fly four, Sophia Cooper a 3; Annie Wilson, Madison Jackson and Adelyn Rensch two each and Kiaya Seats and Kiley Jo Byrom a free throw apiece.
No one scored in double figures for the Lightning, who were outrebounded 29-25.
Pfeil finished with four assists while Ramsey racked up five steals.

Central then went to Ravenwood in Brentwood on Thursday and rolled past the Raptors 69-36.
The Lady Wildcats led 23-10 at the first-quarter break, 38-22 at halftime and 65-29 going into the fourth.
Fly finished with 23 points and seven rebounds in the post. Ramsey had seven rebounds and five assists while Pfeil had six boards as both added 11 points. Moss managed nine points, five rebounds, five assists and eight steals. Kinning added eight points, Byrom a 3 and Mirghavami and Jackson two each.
Clay County overtakes Lady Tigers in fourth
CELINA — Clay County emerged with a 45-43 win over visiting Watertown in a TSSAA Hall of Champions game Thursday.

The Lady Purple Tigers led 10-6 at the first-quarter break before Clay County surged into halftime ahead 22-20. Watertown went back in front 35-26 going into the fourth before the Lady Bulldogs take the final eight minutes 18-8.
Ella Eads sank 6 of 7 free throws to lead the Lady Bulldogs with 16 points while Natalie Smith and Haylen Garrison each scored 12.
Julianna Pruitt pumped in a pair of 3-pointers in leading the Lady Purple Tigers with 12 points while Molly Followill finished with 11. Dailey Hight hit three triples for her nine while Macie Brelje scored six of her seven in the first half and Maggie Pearson and Bryley Bowers each tossed in two.
Green Hill dominates Kenwood 80-32

CLARKSVILLE — Green Hill piled up 34 first-quarter points in an 80-32 win at Kenwood in a TSSAA Hall of Champions game Thursday night.
It was 34-7 eight minutes in and 56-19 at halftime as Green Hill went to 2-0 for the week going into today’s 6 p.m. game against Livingston Academy at Macon County.
Kataira Tolbert led the Lady Hawks with 27 points while McKinlee Parker poured in 19 and Willa Heilmann 12. Emma Savage added eight points, Juliana Mitchell five, Laura Pardo four, McKenna Solomon a 3-pointer and McKenzie Morgan two.
Sy’Nya Seay and Ebene Darden-Hinton each had 10 for Kenwood.
Lebanon girls win opener at Barrett’s alma materWOODBURY — Playing at Coach Cory Barrett’s alma mater, Lebanon’s girls rolled to a 47-27 win over Cannon County in a TSSAA season-opening Hall of Champions game Tuesday night at Robert A. Harris Gymnasium.

Lebanon led 13-9 at the first-quarter break, 24-13 at halftime and 34-24 through three before closing out the Lady Lions with a 13-3 fourth.
Ellie Beth McDonald drained a pair of 3-pointers to lead Lebanon with 12 points while Tiara Spencer scored 11 and Tramaria Neal 10. Carleigh Barrett and Audrey Jones each scored six and Maggie Kelley four.
Kelley and Neal each collected six rebounds while Spencer passed for six assists, had three deflections and three steals.
Elly Bain led the Lady Lions with 10 points.
Better late than never as Lady Commanders knock off NorthwestAfter a rough trip from Clarksville, Friendship Christian’s girls made the Vikings’ night even worse by beating them 45-38 in a TSSAA Hall of Champions season-opening game at the Bay Family Sportsplex.

The game was originally set for a 6:30 p.m. start, 30 minutes later than the normal time, possibly to accommodate the Vikings in their trip through Nashville rush-hour traffic. But snarled traffic caused by a crash delayed them by another half hour.
When the game did tip off, the Lady Commanders took a 10-7 first-quarter lead as Norah Box scored seven of her team-high 15 points. Friendship held a 23-22 halftime edge and was up 34-28 going into the fourth.
Natalie Major notched nine points for Friendship while Maggie Reed scored six, Kaitlyn Danilaitis and Haivyn Boone four each; Anna Kate Reed, Bella Ellis and Annika Langford two apiece and Khloe Smith a free throw.
Friendship had plenty of free-throw opportunities as three Vikings fouled out, including Ivy Downs, who led all scorers with 19 points (including a pair of 3-pointers), and Shayla Vaughn, who tossed in 10.

Lady Bears bag 10 triples to beat Clarksville
CLARKSVILLE — Mt. Juliet buried 10 3-pointers Tuesday night as the Lady Bears beat host Clarksville 55-40 in a TSSAA Hall of Champions season opener.
McClaine Ringenberg fired in four triples on her way to 19 points while Addy Osborne’s 15 included three triples. Aaliyah Holman hit a pair of treys and a free throw for her seven while Makayla Hopson had six, Ryuleigh Clayton four and Claire Emery and Isabella Craig two apiece.
The Lady Bears led 14-9 at the first-quarter break, 36-20 at halftime and 45-23 going into the fourth.
Heilmann’s 24 lift Lady Hawks past Franklin

FRANKLIN — Willa Heilmann had 24 points Tuesday night to lead Green Hill to a 56-47 season-opening win over Franklin in a TSSAA Hall of Champions game.
Heilmann’s total included a pair of 3-pointers. Kataira Tolbert notched 19 from inside, including 11-of-16 from the free-throw line. Emma Savage and McKinlee Parker each scored six and Juliana Mitchell a free throw.
The Lady Admirals led 9-7 at the first-quarter break before Green Hill surged in front 29-19 by halftime with a 22-10 second period. The Lady Hawks were ahead 45-32 going into the fourth.
Cecilie Bandimore led the Lady Admirals with 19 points while Mary Crunk added 11.

Lady Tigers roll past RBS in opener
WATERTOWN — Watertown’s girls opened their season Monday night with a 42-19 knockoff of Red Boiling Springs in a TSSAA Hall of Champions game.
The Lady Purple Tigers led 15-6 at the first-quarter break and 23-12 at halftime.
Point guard Molly Followill tossed in two 3-pointers in leading the Lady Tigers with 14 points. Izzie Burns added eight points while Julianna Pruitt pumped in a pair of 3s for her six. Maddie Willard finished with five points, Macie Brelje four and Dailey Hight a 3.
