Today marks a bittersweet moment for the North Carolina Tar Heels‘ football team, which plays in Kenan Stadium for one final time in 2025.
What better opponent to face UNC (4-6, 2-4 ACC) than its bitter archrival, Duke. The Tar Heels and Blue Devils (5-5, 4-2 ACC) will kick off at 3:30 p.m. with plenty at stake. North Carolina needs a win to keep its hopes of bowl eligibility alive, while Duke can clinch with a win.

UNC a took a major step backwards at Wake Forest, losing 28-12 in a game where virtually nothing went right. Rece Verhoff nailed four field goals, including a 57-yarder to set a Tar Heels program record, but defense allow 400+ yards and offense failed to scored a touchdown – for the first time all season.
The Blue Devils started their season 4-1, but quickly fell back to earth. Duke lost 27-18 to ACC leader Georgia Tech at home, won 46-45 at Clemson, lost 37-34 at UConn and 34-17 against Virginia last weekend.
