Volkan Oezdemit reminded the UFC’s light heavyweight that he’s still a top contender after knocking out Alonzo Menifield in nasty fashion earlier today (Sat., Nov. 22, 2025) at UFC Qatar LIVE on ESPN+ from inside the ABHA Arena in Doha, Qatar.
This was an interesting fight on paper since Oezdemir was coming off a loss to Carlos Ulberg and Menifield was riding a two-fight win streak, but “No Time” proved once again that he’s still one of the most dangerous fighters at 205 pounds. Menifield is dangerous in his own right, but Saturday simply wasn’t his night.

It took Oezdemir a total of 72 seconds to unleashed all hell on Menifield. “No Time” did real damage with a slick knee inside, forcing Menifield to cover up and defend along the cage. This allowed Oezdemir the chance to throw punches at will. One landed after another as Menifield was on shaky legs. A final left hand connected and Menifield went crashing to the canvas with the referee close behind.
Check out the video highlights below:
Oezdemir, 36, is now 3-2 in his last five trips to the Octagon. Today was another reminder that he can put anyone out if he’s firing on all cylinders. It will be interesting to see who UFC matchmakers put Oezdemir up against next, but a top five opponent wouldn’t be a surprise.
