Where Wisconsin ranks in KenPom, ESPN’s BPI after BYU loss

by

Wisconsin basketball suffered its first blemish of the 2025-26 season on Friday, as it fell 98-70 to No. 9 BYU.

The Badgers were overmatched from the start. BYU led 45-33 at halftime, then cruised to the 28-point victory. Given the Cougars’ offense ranking No. 4 in KenPom, the Badgers were unlikely to win the game on the defensive end. Wisconsin’s alarming struggles were on the offensive end of the court, where the team shot just 38% from the floor and 24% from 3. Starters Austin Rapp, Nolan Winter, John Blackwell and Andrew Rohde combined for just 35 points on 10-of-36 from the field.
