Tennessee 35, Arizona State 21

Tennessee won 10 of the 13 events in a longer dual-meet format than either of the first two days, one closer to the traditional dual meet, albeit with more of a sprint focus.

Camille Spink started it with a 1-2 with Ella Jansen in the 200 free, Spink’s 1:42.57 edging her teammate by .05 seconds. Spink won the 100 free in 46.70 ahead of teammate Julianne Bocska. Jansen won the 200 fly in 1:54.85.

McKenzie Siroky paced a UT 1-2-3 in the 100 breast by going 59.49, Simone Moll also breaking a minute in 59.74. Third was Emilie Fast, who won the 200 breast in 2:11.98, edging ASU’s Sonia Vaishnani by .12 seconds. Emily Brown won the 200 individual medley in 1:56.33, with Vaishnani again second, and Brown also won the 500 free in 4:43.83.

Emily Armen and Lilly Daley flexed UT’s depth by going 1-2 in the 50 free, Armen winning in 22.54. Regan Rathwell’s 153.25 edged ASU’s Gerda Szilagyi by .31 seconds to win the 200 back. Bocska, Armen, Julia Burroughs and Jillian Crooks finished it off by winning the 200 free relay in 1:29.64.

Arizona State had opened with a win in the 200 medley relay, the quartet of Miriam Sheehan, Lucie Vasquez, Julia Ullmann and Shane Golland going 1:37.01 to pip UT to the wall by .11 seconds. Sheehan went 52.55 to win the 100 back, Ullmann 52.27 to claim the 100 fly.

Michigan 37, Virginia 19

Michigan won some tight battles early to spark the win. Antoine Sauve’s 1:32.26 in the 200 free edged Maximus Williamson by .06 seconds. The men’s medley relay of Jack Wilkening, Luka Mladenovic, Tyler Ray and Ole Mats Eidam went 1:23.48 to pull it out. Eidam’s 19.77 in the 50 free held off the UVA chasers.

Michigan piled on 1-2-3s in both breaststroke events, led by Mladenovic’s 51.55 in the 200 and 1:51.99 in the 200, and in the 100 free, paced by Sauve’s 42.16. Lorne Wigginton won the 500 free in 4:16.04. Ray (44.89) and Eidam went 1-2 in the 100 fly.

Thomas Heilman’s 1:39.70 took down Ray in the 200 fly, then he won the 200 IM in 1:43.74, edging Wigginton by .03 seconds. Jack Aikins rolled to a win in the 200 back in 1:40.84.
