Redshirt freshman forward Lauren Whittaker earned her second West Coast Conference Freshman of the Week award of the 2025-26 season. She averaged 18.0 points on a 50.0 field goal percentage, 9.5 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game in a 72-63 loss to the South Dakota State Jackrabbits in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and a 79-60 win over the Eastern Washington Eagles in Spokane, Washington.
Coach Lisa Fortier and the Zags are back to .500 at a 3-3 record heading into the week of Thanksgiving. Gonzaga is now preparing for Coconut Hoops in Fort Myers, Florida, from Nov. 28-30. Their opening matchup in the Blue Heron Division is with the undefeated Indiana Hoosiers (5-0) on Friday, Nov. 28, at 10:30 a.m. PT and can be viewed on FloCollege.
