The Georgia Bulldogs (10-1, 7-1 SEC) face the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (9-2, 6-2 ACC) on Friday, Nov. 28 at 3:30 p.m. ET. The Georgia–Georgia Tech game will be televised on ABC.
This year’s version of Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate will be played in Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. The game will be a neutral site contest instead of a Georgia Tech home game. Georgia Tech is raising a lot of money for their athletic department with the move to a neutral site.

Georgia is favored by nearly two touchdowns against Georgia Tech after winning last season’s meeting 44-42 in eight overtimes. Georgia still have a chance to make the SEC championship, regardless of what happens against Georgia Tech, if Alabama (at Auburn) or Texas A&M (at Texas) lose on Rivalry Week.
Will Georgia beat Georgia Tech? ESPN’s prediction
Georgia Bulldogs wide receiver London Humphreys (16) scores a touchdown behind the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets
Georgia is surprisingly big favorites against Georgia Tech, who does not have many impressive wins this season. ESPN’s matchup predictor, which factors in how teams have performed during the season, football power index and other key variables, gives Georgia a 87.0% chance to defeat Georgia Tech. The Yellow Jackets have a 13.0% chance of beating Georgia.

ESPN’s SP+ also thinks Georgia will win. It predicts a 36-23 Georgia victory.
Georgia’s CFP chances
ESPN gives Georgia a 98.3% chance of making the playoff, which is down 0.5% from last week. Georgia’s path to the playoff is simple. As long as the Bulldogs beat Georgia Tech, then there’s no way UGA will miss the playoff. Georgia would also make the playoff with an SEC championship win.
UGA has a 29.7% chance of winning the SEC (second-best in the conference behind Alabama at 40.7%) and an 9.7% chance of winning the national championship (fourth in the country), according to the FPI. Meanwhile, Georgia Tech has a 0.3% chance of winning the ACC and a 0.1% chance of making the playoff (this doesn’t even make sense) after losing to Pittsburgh last week.
