Nikki Bella didn’t come back to WWE just to smile and pose. On the November 17 episode of WWE RAW, Bella made that crystal clear by jumping Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer on the entrance ramp. The ambush marked a sharp turn in Nikki’s character as she made it known—she’s not here to support anyone. She’s here to take over.
Fans at Madison Square Garden watched as Bella stood tall over Vaquer and grabbed the mic to declare her intentions. She said she didn’t return to WWE “to cheer” for anyone or be Vaquer’s “sidekick.” Then she added that Vaquer reminded her “who the hell I am” before declaring herself the woman who “changed the entire industry.”
Bella’s words and actions drew plenty of heat from the crowd, with some even reviving chants about her past relationship with John Cena. Still, Nikki didn’t back down, and now she’s heading into Survivor Series: WarGames with her eyes locked on championship gold.
Now, in a new interview with ESPN’s Get Up, Nikki gave more insight into her heel turn and what really drove her to attack Vaquer. When asked about her shocking behavior, Nikki put it all on the table:
“Well, you know, I did come back, and I am from a different era, and I have something to prove. And sometimes we have to prove that in different ways.”
She made it clear this wasn’t about friendship—it was about legacy and power.
“Nice can get you so far, but sometimes you gotta be bad to get what you really want. And so I feel like the only way I could get what I want is to go in that direction.”
Nikki Bella’s transformation isn’t just cosmetic—this is a mission. She’s here to remind fans why she was one of the most dominant stars of her era and why she believes the Women’s World Title belongs around her waist.
Now the question is simple: will Stephanie Vaquer be able to stop the Bella with a bad attitude?
What do you think about Nikki Bella’s new mindset? Do you buy her explanation, or is this just a desperate play for attention? Drop your thoughts in the comments and let us know if you’re rooting for her at Survivor Series.
