Iowa State women’s basketball is in the top 10 of one major poll and just outside the top 10 in another one.
Iowa State checked in at No. 11 in the latest USA TODAY Coaches poll released on Nov. 2. The Cyclones were previously ranked No. 12.

Their one-spot jump comes after their most successful week of the season. Iowa State beat Marquette and previously unbeaten Indiana in the Coconut Hoops event in Florida.
The two wins helped Iowa State improved to 9-0. It’s the best start for the Cyclones since the 2013-14 when Iowa State rattled off 14 straight wins to begin the year.
The Cyclones are at No. 10 in the Associated Press poll released Dec. 1.
Iowa State has one shot to improve its record this week. The Cyclones take on Northern Illinois at 1 p.m. on Dec. 7 at Hilton Coliseum in Ames.
