LIV Golf have confirmed that English professional Laurie Canter will return to the league for the 2026 season, marking a significant homecoming for the 36 year old after previously competing from 2022 to 2024.
His return to LIV comes at a time when his career is enjoying its strongest momentum to date.
Since turning professional in 2011, Canter has earned recognition for his consistency, precision and analytical approach to the game.
His steady progression on the DP World Tour has seen him emerge as one of Europe’s most reliable performers, highlighted by his breakthrough victory at the 2024 European Open and a second win at the 2025 Bapco Energies Bahrain Championship.
He closed the 2025 season ranked seventh on the DP World Tour’s Race to Dubai and currently sits 60th in the Official World Golf Rankings.
These achievements, combined with his previous LIV experience, make Canter’s return a notable addition to the league as it continues to evolve on the global stage.
“Rejoining LIV Golf is a huge moment for me,” said Canter. “My earlier seasons in the league played a big role in shaping me into the player I am today, and the growth of LIV since then has been remarkable.
Coming back now, after becoming a more complete player and a multiple winner on the DP World Tour, feels like the right step. I am excited for what is ahead and ready to contribute from day one.”
Canter’s return brings a proven and in form talent back into the LIV Golf roster as anticipation builds for the 2026 season.
