Madison Keys not only won her maiden Grand Slam title at this year's Australian Open, but she also set a very unique record as the player with the most games dropped en route to winning a Major.
Keys, who was one month removed from her 30th birthday, had it all but easy at Melbourne Park as five of her seven matches played went three sets. Still, the American tennis star found a way to end on the winning side in all of those clashes as she edged out the likes of Elena-Gabriela Ruse, Elena Rybakina, Elina Svitolina, Iga Swiatek and Aryna Sabalenka. The world No. 7's only straight-set wins at the Happy Slam came against Ann Li and Danielle Collins.
In total, Keys dropped 87 games during this year's Australian Open.

Do you remember Keys' emotional reaction after winning the Australian Open?
Keys, who lost to Sloane Stephens in the 2017 US Open final, couldn't hide her happiness after achieving her biggest tennis goal and becoming a Grand Slam champion just before her 30th birthday. During the trophy ceremony, the American became very emotional and gave big credit to her team for believing in her even when she doubted herself.
"This is where I'm going to cry. I've wanted this for so long, I've been in one other Grand Slam final and it didn’t go my way. I didn't know if I'd be able to get back to this position, to try to win a trophy again, and my team believed in me every step of the way. They believed in me when I didn't believe in myself," Keys said afterward.
