Fan sprints towards Virat Kohli, gets dragged by security
Security breaches have become quite common nowadays in Indian stadiums, as several incidents have been reported in recent times across different states.
Your daily dose of cricket!
Cricket fans in India treat their favorite cricketers like Gods and are ready to do anything to get a chance to meet and interact with them.
The obsession with the cricketers has led to the fans taking extreme steps, breaching the security during live matches and invading the field to meet the players. Most of the time, police take strict action against such fans, but that doesn’t stop them from taking extreme steps.
In the first ODI, a fan entered the field to touch Kohli’s feet during his century celebration. Meanwhile, during the second game, a fan sprinted towards Virat Kohli, but security was quick to intervene. The officials on the ground literally manhandled the fans and threw him off the ground.

Back-to-back 100‘s for the King – Virender Sehwag
Kohli played a brilliant knock in the Raipur ODI and slammed his 53rd ton in ODIs and his 84th across all formats. He built a solid 195-run stand with Ruturaj Gaikwad and powered India to a total of 358/5.
Former cricketers Virender Sehwag, Irfan Pathan, and Sunil Gavaskar were mighty impressed with Kohli’s knock, and they lavished rich praise on the right-handed batsman.
“Virat Kohli ko 100 ka nasha hi alag hai. Hum log centuries gin rahe hote hain, woh bas routine ka kaam samajh ke kar deta hai. Back-to-back 100‘s for the King. 53rd ODI hundred. Virat hai toh mumkin hai. A brilliant century from Ruturaj Gaikwad as well making batting look very easy,” Sehwag wrote.
(Virat Kohli is addicted to scoring hundreds. While we’re busy counting them, he treats it like just another routine task. Back-to-back hundreds for the King. His 53rd ODI century. If it’s Virat, it’s possible. A brilliant century from Ruturaj Gaikwad too, making batting look effortless.)
Irfan Pathan stated: “On Sunday the king plays for sure but on weekdays he plays with your plans. Brilliant 100.”
“Who needs a Superman when you have Virat Kohli? In his career record, you will find how many singles he has taken. Singles are the lifeblood of batting in any format of the game. It makes the batter feel he is on the move, not stagnating, not being blocked by the bowlers. It is not just his runs, but he is always looking for the extra for his partner. You saw that in the partnership with Ruturaj Gaikwad. 53rd hundred. Fabulous. Absolutely fabulous,” Sunil Gavaskar stated.
