Colby Covington is back. Well, sort of.
It won’t be the UFC cage, but instead the wrestling mat, when Covington returns to competitive action Jan. 10 at RAF 5. A former interim UFC welterweight champion, Covington will face former UFC middleweight Luke Rockhold at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Fla. It will stream on Fox Nation.

Covington, 37, has only competed in MMA once since December 2023, and it was in a short-notice bout vs. Joaquin Buckley, who defeated him by third-round doctor’s stoppage. The loss was Covington’s fourth in his most recent six outings. Since that time, he has not been booked in MMA and his next bout inside the cage remains uncertain.
Rockhold, 41, has bounced around different combat sports and promotions since his UFC departure in 2022. From karate to boxing to grappling and now wrestling, Rockhold has found ways to make the most of his name recognition in the late stages of his career.
No other matches have been announced for RAF 5 at this time.
