Oleksandr Usyk prays for Jake Paul: Anthony Joshua may ‘kill this guy’

by

Oleksandr Usyk worries for Jake Paul’s fate against Anthony Joshua.

Paul (12-1) takes on former two-time unified heavyweight champion Joshua (28-4) on Dec. 19 at Kaseya Center in Miami. Usyk wasn’t able to finish Joshua in his two wins over him, so he knows the calibre “The Problem Child” is about to face in the ring.

With the massive difference in skill and experience, Usyk says Joshua is levels above Paul in every facet.

“If Anthony Joshua wants, he will kill this guy,” Usyk told Boxing Scene. “Listen, a lot of questions, blah, blah, blah. Only one answer: Anthony Joshua is an Olympic champion, first. Jake Paul, yeah: a sportsman, a YouTuber, a showman. (Joshua a) Rolls Royce, (Paul a) Fiat. Listen, it’s true. It’s just true. It’s business, more money – only this.”

Usyk faced off with Paul after he knocked out Daniel Dubois by fifth-round TKO in their rematch this past July in London. Paul challenged Usyk to an MMA fight in a social media post right after – a callout which Usyk accepted.

He just needs Paul to survive Joshua.

“Yes, I will pray (for) Jake Paul because I want to fight with Jake Paul in the octagon,” Usyk said.
