Norris tops Abu Dhabi first practice ahead of Verstappen

Lando Norris topped first practice for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix ahead of Max Verstappen.

Norris finished just 0.008 seconds ahead of Max Verstappen, with Charles Leclerc a further 0.016 seconds behind.

First practice on Friday saw teams field their rookies with Leclerc’s brother Arthur in for Lewis Hamilton at Ferrari, Patricio O’Ward in for Oscar Piastri, and new Racing Bulls recruit for 2026, Arvid Lindblad, in the other Red Bull car.
