LSU football coach Lane Kiffin will appear on College Gameday this Saturday. ESPN announced the news with a social media post on Thursday. Kiffin will head to Atlanta, GA, where Gameday will be at the SEC championship between Alabama and Georgia.

Kiffin has been LSU’s head coach for less than a week and was introduced at a press conference on Monday.

Kiffin’s introduction followed a weeks-long saga that saw Kiffin decide between staying at Ole Miss or departing for Florida or LSU. The story swallowed up plenty of attention as all three schools pushed Kiffin to make a decision. Many wondered if Kiffin could leave for LSU and coach the playoff at Ole Miss, but Ole Miss brass made it clear that was not an option for Kiffin, despite Kiffin’s wishes to do so.

Kiffin has drawn plenty of criticism for his decision to leave as Ole Miss prepares for a playoff run, but he wanted to be at LSU and there wasn’t a way to get the best of both worlds.
