TNA Wrestling’s move to AMC in 2026 has fans talking, but now we’re learning why the network got so fired up about partnering with the company — and according to Matt Hardy, the Hardy Boyz themselves were a major factor.
Speaking on The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, Matt revealed that AMC executives were ecstatic once they learned the Hardys were part of TNA’s roster — and the brothers even helped impress the network during an early shoot.
Matt was asked directly whether the Hardy Boyz were a major bargaining chip in TNA securing its AMC partnership. He didn’t duck the question:
“There were enough top executives who, once they learned the Hardy Boys were TNA talent, got really excited. At AMC, there are so many people who are huge fans of the Hardy Boys, which is wild.”
He recalled filming the stunt-heavy promotional shoot—complete with their signature dives and table spots—and said AMC executives were losing it:
“There were a couple of guys there who were so excited to be doing that, so excited to be working with us, which is cool.”
Matt didn’t brag, but he didn’t deny the truth either:
“Not trying to be egotistical… but yes, I do think it was a big deal. We get recognized in the streets every single day… people who aren’t even die‑hard wrestling fans know who we are.”
And even after decades in the business, the Hardys are still helping move the needle:
“We’ve been through generations now… We are truly a legacy act that people know, and we’re still performing at a half‑decent high level.”
With AMC execs excited to have them on board and TNA pushing into a new era, the Hardys may have played an even bigger role in shaping the company’s future than fans knew.
As TNA prepares to hit AMC in January 2026, the Hardys’ legacy isn’t just about moments in the ring — it’s about building the next chapter of the company itself.
