Steelers S Kyle Dugger (hand) ruled out vs. Ravens

by

PITTSBURGH — The Steelers will be without starting safety Kyle Dugger against the Ravens on Sunday after he popped up on Thursday’s practice report with a hand injury.

Dugger, a 2020 New England Patriots second-round pick acquired by the Steelers before the trade deadline, missed practice Thursday and Friday with the injury. Dugger has started all five games alongside Jalen Ramsey since joining the Steelers before their Nov. 2 win over the Indianapolis Colts, and he has recorded 1 interception, 4 passes defensed and 23 combined tackles.

With Dugger out, the Steelers will likely turn to former Raven Chuck Clark, whom the team signed during training camp. The Steelers previously had safety Juan Thornhill on the roster but released him in late November.

Though the Steelers will be without Dugger, swing tackle Calvin Anderson (knee) and defensive tackle Derrick Harmon, who was previously ruled out with a knee injury, the team will have quarterback Aaron Rodgers on the field for a second consecutive week as he continues to play through a fractured left wrist.
