Tony Khan Says All-Women’s AEW PPV Is “Absolutely” on the Table

by

Tony Khan might finally be ready to deliver an all-women’s pay-per-view under the AEW/ROH banner—and it sounds like he’s got a global vision for it.

Speaking during the post-show media scrum for Ring of Honor Final Battle 2025, Khan was asked whether fans could ever expect an all-women’s event from AEW. His response? He’s not just open to it—he’s already thinking about ways to make it happen, possibly under the Global Wars name.

“I think certainly having more events that include more and more women’s championships and matches has been fantastic. I think the depth of the women’s wrestling in AEW and ROH has just continued to get better and better,” Khan said.

He continued, making it clear that an all-women’s special is something he’s given real thought to:

“Absolutely. Whatever platform or however it were to happen, there’s a lot of ways it could happen. I mentioned earlier the Global Wars events have been fantastic. Bringing women from all over and have a Global Wars event like that is something I’ve thought about also.”

Khan hinted that while Global Wars may not be labeled a pay-per-view, it functions just like one under the Honor Club system:

“Global Wars technically is a streaming special. We don’t call it a pay-per-view but really it all is on the same app and you’re paying for the whole thing the same… Definitely an event, an all-women’s event with women from all over is something I have thought about and again, potentially a Global Wars, bringing women from all over could be great too.”

The comments came after Final Battle 2025 closed out with Athena successfully defending her ROH Women’s World Title against Persephone. With that win, Athena is now closing in on the three-year mark as champion—and any all-women’s event would undoubtedly have her at the center.

Do you think AEW can pull off a good all-women’s pay-per-view? Would you watch it? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
