World Archery has appointed Siret Luik to a new role as head of development and education, and director of the World Archery Excellence Centre, as part of a refocus on growth initiatives.

Luik inherits some of the responsibilities of Olympic Champion Sébastien Flute, who recently left his role as the Centre’s head of operations, and will lead on coach accreditation, education outreach, and delivering development support directly to member associations.

The former Estonian international archer was previously deputy secretary general at World Archery and most recently coached Reena Parnat at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

I’m delighted to return to World Archery in a role that aligns with my passion for growing the sport of archery,” said Luik.

“Supporting our member federations by developing education pathways, sharing knowledge, and enabling access to archery  globally is both an honour and an exciting challenge.”

Luik’s role starts immediately.

“We are excited to have Siret back at World Archery in a crucial role for our development initiatives and I am thrilled to welcome a key team member that will help grow our sport,” said World Archery executive director Juan Carlos Holgado.

“Siret’s extensive experience and deep understanding of archery will be invaluable as she creates new educational projects and support members globally, using the World Archery Excellence Centre as a hub for growth strategies.”

“By holding positions across both World Archery and the Centre, she will find efficiencies in centralising educational development across national and continental associations.”

The World Archery Excellence Centre is a development hub and elite training facility in the Olympic Capital of Lausanne (Switzerland). Opened in 2016, the Centre coordinates education initiatives, hosts world-class courses, and outreach programmes.
