A.J. McKee vs. Adam Borics set for PFL Madrid co-main event

by

The PFL’s first trip to Spain is beginning to fill out with a showdown between A.J. McKee and Adam Borics.

On March 20, PFL lands in Madrid, Spain, at Palacio Vistalegre for an event headlined by a middleweight title rematch between champion Costello van Steenis and challenger Fabian Edwards. The co-main event of the card will be McKee (23-2) vs. Borics (20-3) at featherweight, which was announced by the promotion during the PFL Lyon broadcast.

McKee re-signed with PFL in November and now has his first matchup. The former Bellator champion has gone 5-1 since dropping the title in 2022. In his only appearance of 2025, McKee won a unanimous decision over Akhmed Magomedov, bouncing back from a split decision loss to Paul Hughes last October.

Borics will look to remain in the win column as well, as he will enter after a majority decision win over Jeremy Kennedy in June. The former Bellator title challenger has traded wins and losses over his last four outings, after his title bid loss to Patricio Pitbull ended a four-fight winning streak.

Current PFL Spain lineup includes:

  • Costello Van Steenis vs. Fabian Edwards 2 – for middleweight title

  • A.J. McKee vs. Adam Borics
