The Mets agreed with veteran outfielder Cristian Pache on a Minor League deal with a non-roster invitation to Spring Training, according to multiple reports on Monday. The team has not confirmed.
Pache, 27, is known primarily as a talented defender with a strong throwing arm, capable of playing all three outfield spots. He was a former top prospect, ranking as high as No. 12 according to MLB Pipeline before the 2021 season.
Pache last played in the Majors in 2024, spending last season at Triple-A Reno in the Diamondbacks organization, where he slashed .251/.351/.389 with five homers and eight steals in 70 games.
For his career, Pache has hit .181 with seven homers and 49 RBIs in 251 games.
