Illinois basketball adds another international player to roster

CHAMPAIGN — Illinois basketball has bolstered its men’s roster for this season.

Croatian 6-foot-9 forward Toni Bilić has committed to Illinois, according to Jonathan Givony of DraftExpress. The 20-year-old is scheduled to arrive at semester break and become immediately eligible to play.

Givony says he found about Bilić from his agent, Misko Ražnatović, who also represent current Illini players Tomislav Ivisic, Zvonimir Ivisic, David Mirkovic and Mihailo Petrovic. Bilić will be the sixth player from the Balkans on the Illinois roster for 2025-26.

Bilić, who wasn’t currently playing, spent 2024-25 playing for KK Cedevita Junior Zagreb. He averaged 3.0 points and 1.5 rebounds in 8.4 minutes per game.

Illinois (8-3) is ranked No. 18 in the USA Today coaches poll. The Illini return to the court Dec. 22 against rival Missouri in the annual Braggin’ Rights game in St. Louis.
