A Breakdown of Men’s World Top-10 Rankings for the 2025 Season; 31 Nations Represented
In major international competition, 17 individual events are found on the program. Consequently, there are 170 opportunities to register a top-10 performance in the world rankings. During the 2025 season, which featured the World Championships in Singapore as the campaign’s premier meet, 31 countries produced at least one male swimmer who recorded a top-10 time. That total was higher than the 26 nations who had at least one female athlete secure a top-10 ranking.
The United States led the way with 28 top-10 rankings, a total that was nearly twice what Japan and Russia managed, with 15 top-10 ratings each. Germany (12), Australia (11), China (10) and Italy (10) also reached double figures while eight countries checked in with one top-10 entry each.
