Dartmouth women’s basketball downs Franklin Pierce, off to best start in 36 years

The NCAA Division I Dartmouth College women’s basketball team defeated Division II Franklin Pierce, 68-50, on Tuesday at Leede Area in Hanover to secure its best start in 36 years.

The Big Green improved to 8-2 with the victory, their best mark since their 1989-90 campaign, when they finished 23-3.

Dartmouth led 23-19 at halftime before erupting for 28 points in the third quarter.

The Big Green received career-high scoring outputs from junior Alexandra Eldredge (16) and freshman Debra Hill (14).

Dartmouth junior Nina Minicozzi notched her first career double-double (16 points, 10 rebounds).

Freshman point guard Emily Mennillo scored a game-high 18 points for Franklin Pierce.
