CLEMSON — Clemson basketball freshman reserve guard Zac Foster exited with a lower-body injury in the first half against South Carolina on Dec. 16.
Foster attempted a layup on a fastbreak, but his shot was blocked, he fell and he grabbed his knee with 12:52 in the first half. His teammates surrounded him until Clemson staffers came to his aid and helped him off the floor.

He was able to walk off on his own power, and starting guard Dillon Hunter replaced him.
Foster remained on the trainer’s table behind Clemson’s bench but did not re-enter the game. He headed to Clemson’s locker room with 7:51 left in the half and walked on his own despite a staffer having crutches available.
Foster was averaging 7.4 points and leads Clemson in assists with 2.6 per game. Despite not starting, he has been featured late in games for the Tigers.
