Mia Pauldo earns national co-freshman of the week honors

Tennessee guard Mia Pauldo was named Tamika Catchings Co-Freshman of the Week by the United States Basketball Writers Association on Tuesday.

She was also named SEC Co-Freshman of the Week after totaling a career-high 18 points and 10 assists. Pauldo also had four steals in the Lady Vols’, 112-40, victory over Winthrop on Sunday at Food City Center. She eclipsed her previous career-high of 14 points against Stanford on Dec. 3. Pauldo recorded her first career double-double against the Eagles.

The conference and national honors were the first earned by the Lady Vols during the 2025-26 season. Talaysia Cooper and Nya Robertson, however, have been named Tennessee Sports Writers Association Player of the Week last month.

Pauldo also converted a career-high four three-point field goals and led Tennessee, which, made a season-high 16 three-point attempts against Winthrop, the second highest single-game total in program history. She scored 12 points in the first quarter Sunday, converting 3-of-5 field goal attempts and 2-of-4 three-point attempts. Pauldo also made four free throws.
