Rory McIlroy praises Scheffler’s calm and focused character

by

Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler dominate the golf scene, and most believe that the future will belong to the two of them and that it will be difficult for anyone to join the race between the two.

It is difficult to talk about a race between the two, as McIlroy and Scheffler have a huge advantage over the Irishman, but it seems that the one error has the potential to compete with him in the long run.

As early as next season, we could see a clash between the two of them at major tournaments.

Speaking to the media, the Northern Irish golfer shared his observations about Scheffler.

Rory revealed what Scheffler's most valuable trait is.

Scottie Scheffler proved to be a gentle tennis player with a calm character and a man who does not want to expose himself too much in public.

He keeps his private life away from the cameras, tends to enjoy himself with his family and has no intention of changing such attitudes in the future.

Rory McIlroy believes that this character and his calmness are the reasons why he is so dominant in the world of golf.

The 29-year-old golfer is solely focused on success in the sport he plays, which is why most predict that the future will belong to McIlroy and Scheffler.

“I think his most valuable trait is his indifference to celebrity, I guess, would be the easy way to say it,“ McIlroy replied.

“He wants to be a golfer. He does very little outside of his realm. He lives what, from the outside, looks like a very simple life.

He has his family, and he has golf, and he’s very adamant about that.

I think when you get into this position in the world of golf or in sport, you are pulled in so many different directions, and I think Scottie has been so disciplined in saying, ‘no, this is what I want to do, and this is what I want to focus on’."
