Entering the season, the Georgia Bulldogs were placed at No. 5 in the Preseason AP Poll. For most, that’s an honor; for the Bulldogs, however, it’s an insult.

Georgia avenged their only loss of the regular season to Alabama by beating the Crimson Tide in the SEC championship. This marks their third conference title in the last four seasons.
Following their 12-1 season, the Bulldogs were awarded the No. 3 seed by the CFP committee. This results in Georgia getting a first-round bye.
The Bulldogs will get some extra preparation for the winner of the No. 6 Ole Miss vs. No. 11 Tulane matchup in the first round.
