The Orioles are acquiring right-handed pitcher Shane Baz from the Rays for a quartet of prospects: OF Slater de Brun, C Caden Bodine, RHP Michael Forret and OF Austin Overn. The deal also includes a Competitive Balance Round A pick heading to Tampa Bay in the deal, a source told MLB.com on Friday.
The clubs have not confirmed the deal.
The 26-year-old Baz set a myriad of career highs in 2025, making 31 starts while going 10-12 with a 4.87 ERA and a 1.335 WHIP. He struck out 176 and walked 64 over 166 1/3 innings.
