Brittney Griner‘s 2025 season was quite memorable, to say the least. After leaving the Phoenix Mercury — the only WNBA team she had known during the first 11 seasons of her pro career — she entered free agency and joined the Atlanta Dream.
The 35-year-old center played in 39 games for the Dream and started in 25. She averaged 9.8 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.2 blocks, helping Atlanta finish with a 30-14 record. It was the best record in the Eastern Conference and the third-best in the WNBA.

Now, as Griner continues her basketball career, she is set to suit up for the second season of the 3-on-3 league Unrivaled. This time, she’s also joining a new team after playing for Phantom BC in the first season of the league.

Griner, who averaged 16.7 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in Unrivaled last campaign, has been selected by former Chicago Sky head coach Teresa Weatherspoon to play for Vinyl BC.
On Thursday, Griner teased fans about her upcoming run in Unrivaled with a new club, all while sharing photos of herself in her new jersey. The photos were taken at Unrivaled’s media day earlier in the week.

“BG means we back gang! #Unrivaled,” Griner wrote.
Naturally, Griner’s post drew plenty of reactions, especially from fans who expressed excitement to see her return to action.
Many others couldn’t help but take notice of the photos she uploaded, as the post included a couple of shots of the WNBA veteran just being goofy. The first photo showed her making a funny face, while another featured her and Vinyl teammate Rhyne Howard doing a wheelbarrow walk.

Chicago Sky guard Rachel Banham absolutely loved the pictures and commented simply, “CUTE!!”
Banham, who was traded to the Sky last offseason, will also be playing in Unrivaled. It’s her first year in the league, and she’ll be playing for the Lunar Owls BC.
While she and Griner aren’t teammates, it hasn’t stopped her from showing her support.
Unrivaled’s second season tips off on Jan. 5, so the wait shouldn’t be too long to see Griner and Banham in action.
