Golf is a game of details. The tiniest of details separate a good shot from a great shot … the list goes on and on. If you haven’t heard me say it before, I’ll say it againβ and for as much as I don’t like him, I happen to agree with Deion Sanders on one thing: “If you look good, you feel good. If you feel good, you play good.”
I believe there’s a certain respect we must show while on the course because so many of the tracks that we’re privileged to play are outdoor cathedrals. How we look and carry ourselves is a direct reflection of how we see ourselves, and look, it’s more than OK to show some pride.
I watch a lot of golf. Seriously, there’s not a tournament I won’t watch. And while I’m constantly on the lookout for ways to improve my game while marveling at the sheer talent every tour player possesses, I’m also looking to see who the best-dressed are. While most of the tour style icons didn’t win too often (or at all) this year, they certainly had memorable moments, close calls and, of course, some great fits.
Justin Thomas
JT is a guy whose scripting from Greyson continues to impress me. Thereβs not really a round where he doesnβt look sharp. I remember watching this yearβs Players Championship and as soon as I saw his polo, I immediately went to Greysonβs site to buy it. It quickly became one of my most-worn pieces.
While itβs no longer in stock, the closest youβll get to it is the Gannett Polo in Vintage Indigo/Arctic. He also had a sweater-polo color combo this year that I never would have thought of myself. Usually, with a sweater, Iβll use a primary color for the sweater and a secondary color for the shirt. Well, he and Greyson did the opposite.
For his sweater, they chose a light, almost steel blue, and paired it with a purplish-burgundy polo and dark grey pants. That entire ensemble was easily one of my favorites from this entire year. Dressing like him wonβt make you play like him but definitely take notes from JTβs style.
Billy Horschel

Horschel is in the conversation of being the best-dressed player on tour. Heβs another player I look forward to seeing because his outfits are that good. What makes Horschelβs scripting from Polo Ralph Lauren work is that it never really tries too hard. Itβs always classic and he knows how to make color work for him.
Heβs one of the few guys on tour who can regularly pull off green pants and not just one shade of green, either. Weβve seen everything from deep forest greens to lighter, almost pastel, tones, and somehow it always works. Heβll pair those with a simple, well-fitted polo and let the color do the talking. The same goes for some of his more unexpected combinations like a lavender polo with navy pants which, again, is something most people wouldn’t really think of. Thatβs the difference. Horschel understands balance. He takes small risks with color, keeps the rest of the outfit grounded and the result always feels sharp and confident. Itβs classic dressing with just enough personality and thatβs why his style never misses.
Thomas Detry

Thomas Detry is the type of guy other men are inherently jealous ofβ good looking, dresses fantastic, and a golf game that mere mortals can only dream of. At the moment, I’d say he’s easily Hugo Boss’ best player on tour and, based upon his scripting, they should thank their lucky stars. Detry is another player who doesn’t force the issue and lets his accent pieces do the talking.
Look at how he matches the green GFORE glove with the color of the Elyte branding on his hatβ that is next-level good accenting. On paper, so many wouldn’t think to wear a green glove with a pink shirt, either, but it looks phenomenal. In every tournament I have watched, there has never been a moment where I haven’t been thoroughly impressed with Detry’s wardrobe or game.
Andrea Lee

Iβm just going to say it: Andrea Lee has the best swing in golf. Iβve never seen a smoother, sounder swing, and I donβt know if I ever will. Another Polo Ralph Lauren staffer, Andrea Lee has the scripting to match that great swing. What I love so much about her style is her commitment to a steady color scheme and having an anchor piece that keeps the outfit together.
While she sometimes mixes up her color scheme, Iβve mostly seen her stick to blues, whites and pinks. Let me tell you: it works. One of her favorite color combos is navy with white and thatβs because it looks that good. I canβt think of a pairing that exudes classic Ralph Lauren more. In colder weather, sheβs not afraid to wear textured or patterned hoodies and really blends modernity with a classic wardrobe extremely well. From her wardrobe to her game, Iβm expecting big things from Lee in 2026.
Charley Hull

I think Charley Hull is an absolute icon. I remember following her group at the 2024 U.S. Womenβs Open and her gallery was much larger than those for some well-known PGA Tour players Iβve seen. I canβt think of a better brand ambassador for Malbon than her. Compared to her PGA Tour counterpart, Jason Day, Hull makes Malbon work.
A fan of knitted (!!!) polo shirts that are an awesome callback to the ’60s, she really makes colors and patterns do their job by pairing them with muted pieces. Hull always has one hero piece and lets everything else fall naturally into place. Some of her fits are louder than others but she pairs her colors extremely, extremely, well. In the picture above, I love that she leads with a primary color for her hat and then transitions into a neutral with her top, and then a tertiary color for her skirt. That is elite color pairing and layering and a testament to how stylish she is.
Adam Scott

If you thought there was any chance youβd make it through this list without Adam Scott being near the top, you, my friend, were wrong. There is nothing that upsets me more than golf βfansβ who say Scott doesnβt dress well or βonly wears beige/earth tones.β If you fall into either of those camps, you need to watch more golf because neither of those things is even close to true. Scott is squarely in the conversation of being the best-dressed player on the PGA Tour.
Yes, he wears a lot of beige but thatβs because it works, looks great, and keeps things neutral so he can add dashes of color through his hat, polo, or pants. What makes Scottβs scripting so good is that itβs understatedβ think the equivalent of the era of Brooks Brothers grey flannel suits that once dominated New York City professionalism. Those days are long gone but there are many of us who still yearn for understated elegance. Adam Scott is understated elegance walking and heβs still playing elite-level golf at 45.
One of Uniqloβs most prominent athletes, Scott believes high-quality golf gear should be affordable. In an age when most golf apparel is really expensive, you can get a lot of Uniqloβs golf gear for less than $50, proving that to look good, you donβt need to spend a fortune. My only complaint is that they donβt release more of his scripting to the general public and we canβt ever get anything with the Uniqlo logo. Maybe in 2026?
Keith Mitchell

If someone has the nickname βCashmere Keith,β you know theyβre a fantastic dresser. Thatβs Keith Mitchell. Since moving on from NIKE some years ago and signing with Sid Mashburn, Mitchell hasnβt had an on-course outfit miss. Week in and week out, he shows up looking better than just about everyone in the field. If his wardrobe were the barometer by which all other players were judged, Cashmere Keith would be the undisputed GOAT.
From his popovers worn with three buttons undone to his Imperial visor, Mitchell is a throwback player with a southern preppy flair and that makes all the difference. I continue to be impressed by his rejection of performance fabrics. If you pay attention to his game or know anything about his preferences, when heβs playing, he wears 100% cotton polos and cotton or wool trousers. In a day where performance materials dominate just about every piece of golf apparel, the fact that heβs out there playing in heritage materials is cooler than I can put into words.
To that effect, Mitchellβs wardrobe is versatile and can be worn on or off the course, which is probably why, even when heβs not playing, he still looks like a million bucks. Cashmere Keith is definitely someone whose style is worth trying to capture. From his game to his clothes, Keith Mitchell is always somebody Iβll have my eye on.
