The transfer portal might be the biggest difference maker every year now in college football. Whether it’s players leaving or players arriving, the effect on every roster in the country is seen and felt throughout the season. Notre Dame is no different than anyone else in this regard, and we’ve seen the impact out on the field.
As we approach the official opening of the transfer portal in January, it’s probably a good time to start keeping a closer tab on all of the roster moves. We’ll keep this post pinned to the front page and update a long the way. Obviously we only have the departures right now, but there is little doubt that Marcus Freeman and Notre Dame will be actively involved in the transfer portal this off-season as they try to create the best roster they can for a college football playoff run.
