Lady Vols, Michigan State basketball tied in latest top 25 poll

TennesseeΒ (8-3) defeated Southern Indiana (8-3), 89-44, on Monday at Food City Center. Monday marked the Lady Vols’ final contest of the 2025 calendar year.

Tennessee will next play on Jan. 1, 2026 againstΒ FloridaΒ in a SEC opener for both schools. Tipoff is slated 2 p.m. EST at Food City Center.

The Lady Vols have recordedΒ winsΒ against East Tennessee State, UT Martin, Belmont, Middle Tennessee State, Coppin State, Stanford, Winthrop and Southern Indiana, while losing to North Carolina State, UCLAΒ and Louisville during theΒ regular season.

The latest USA TODAY Sports women’s basketball coaches poll was released Tuesday. Tennessee is down three spots and ranked No. 21. Michigan State is also ranked No. 21.
