On Tuesday, Dec. 23, Alabama football defensive lineman LT Overton posted a picture of him walking into a Crimson Tide game with headphones on and sunglasses on. Overton looked prepared, focused. The caption was short. “Back like I never left.”
Overton, the Alabama defensive lineman who has missed the Crimson Tide’s SEC Championship Game loss to Georgia and Alabama’s College Football Playoff first-round win against Oklahoma, is set to return to the Crimson Tide in the CFP quarterfinal against Indiana, per 247Sports.

Overton missed the last two games with an undisclosed health issue. According to the report, Overton has been “cleared to return and set to play.”
“LT, we just continue to monitor him. I’m definitely not ruling him out right now, but we’ll continue to evaluate him and see how things go in the days ahead,” Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer said Tuesday, Dec. 22.
Overton has a team-leading four sacks along with 35 tackles and six tackles-for-loss.
Alabama kicks off against Indiana in the 2026 Rose Bowl at 3 p.m. CT Thursday, Jan. 1 on ESPN.
