Yoel Romero is ready to shine in every sport.
Romero tech-falled Pat Downey on Saturday at Real American Freestyle 4 in Indianapolis. The former UFC standout has now been rebooked vs. Bo Nickal at RAF 5 on Jan. 10 from Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Fla., but the 48-year-old also has his sights set on other challenges.

Romero watched Anderson Silva call out Chris Weidman after finishing Tyron Woodley by TKO in their boxing match last Friday, but he wants in on the action.
“I want every sport and don’t blink because boxing, I’m coming for the boxing,” Romero told The Schmo. “You see what happened? Anderson Silva beat Tyron, but he called the wrong name. He said he wants to fight Weidman. Come on, Silva. Come on, my man. You know I am the man. You need to fight with me. You need to fight me, I need to fight you, let’s do it. Boxing, let’s go Anderson.”
Romero was impressed with the way 50-year-old Silva (4-2) floored Woodley with an uppercut.
“Amazing, that’s why I want to fight him in boxing,” Romero said. “See you soon, boy.”
