Jack Doherty feels he’s unfairly being blamed for the brawl between his team, and former UFC heavyweight champion, Andrei Arlovski. However, Arlovski thinks otherwise.
Doherty and friends were seen get into a quick brawl with Arlovski this past Friday at Kaseya Center at the Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua event. Doherty, a controversial streamer and influencer, was heavily criticized online, and was put the blame for the situation. He later came out on a video posted on his social media, claiming innocence, and saying that Arlovski was the one who instigated the fight โ comments which “The Pitbull” is not buying.

“Everybody f*cking blames the old dog, the old guy,” Arlovski said on The Ariel Helwani Show. “Listen, I spent some f*cking time reading those comments, and 99 percent think you’re full of sh*t, man. Sorry. Listen, 25 plus years in the business. You think with all this fighting time in the ring, in the cage, in the octagon, and I’m f*cking stupid (to get into a street fight). I understand if I was drunk and by myself. Sh*t happens. But the video shows clear, I tried to ask him what’s going on, and I got f*cking punched right away. It is what it is.”
Arlovski confirmed the incident happened at the end of the boxing event. He was heading out the arena with his wife, son, friend, and his friend’s pregnant wife when he bumped into Doherty and his crew. Doherty, who was recently arrested in Miami Beach, is known for antagonizing people on the streets, and taking cover behind his bog security in videos.
“I saw people like going and recording something and I tried to avoid them because my main guy (Doherty) walk around like he lifts a lot of weights,” Arlovski said. “I tried to avoid him, but otherwise he’d bump into my wife. Sh*t happens. I turned around and asked, ‘Hey, what’s going on?’ and, ‘Boom, bam, boom, boom, boom.’ End of story.”
Arlovski held his ground, and like a true veteran didn’t make much of the situation. It wasn’t until the next day that he realized how viral the moment had become.

“I woke up in the morning and said, ‘What’s going on?’ What the f*ck?’,” Arlovski said. “I had text messages, phone calls, some messages on Instagram saying, ‘You’re a hero,’ etcetera, etcetera, etcetera. I was shocked. I’ve never had so much attention, even after my fights in the UFC. I start reading and etcetera, etcetera. I was surprised. Video was already edited. I guess I was so lucky to be picked for some video content. It is what it is.”
