Los Tarucas have confirmed their player roster for Super Rugby Americas (SRA) 2026. The Tucumán-based franchise joined the South American professional rugby league for the SRA 2025 season. The team proved to be competitive in their rookie campaign and will be looking to build on that for the 2026 season.
The majority of the 43-man Tarcuas roster are players from Tucumán. This is by design as NOA (Rugby NorOeste Argentino) is seeking pathways for more players from the region to become Pumas.

Tucumán RC players on Los Tarucas 2026 roster include Joaquín Aguilar, Bautista Estofán, Facundo García Hamilton, Mateo Macome, Nicolás Macome, Mariano Muntaner , Rafael O’Gorman, Mateo Pasquini , Pablo Pfister, Simón Pfister, Joaquín Poliche, Matías Sauze.

The big news on the roster is the inclusion of Puma Matías Orlando. The veteran of Rugby World Cup 2019 is back in Tucumán from the Miami Sharks in Major League Rugby (MLR). Orlando has a reputable career for Argentina with wins over New Zealand in 2020 and in 2022.
Orlando last played for Los Pumas in November 2024. He started for Argentina in the record win over Italy in Udine. It was Orlando’s 62nd test cap. He return from MLR to Argentina is a homecoming; Orlando is a product of Huirapuca in Tucumán. He arrives at Los Tarucas after playing Super Rugby for Los Jaguares (2016-2020), English Premiership for Newcastle Red Bulls (2000-2024) and MLR for Miami Sharks (2024-2025).
Orlando’s inclusion is highly notable for supporters from the region and also for new recruit Pedro Coll. The 2025 star Pumitas center is a player who has been identified as having a promising future.
Los Tarucas’ roster notably comes without Nicolás Roger and Tomás Medina. The former debuted for Argentina in July while the later was on the Argentina XV roster this past November. Both players have been linked to moves to Italy to play for Benetton in the United Rugby Championship (URC).
Roger formed a notable halves combination with Simón Benítez Cruz in SRA 2025. Benítez Cruz went on to have a busy rookie season for Los Pumas and now pays in the English Premiership for the Newcastle Red Bulls.
