Trick Williams just made a major power move.
On the December 26 episode of WWE SmackDown, Williams revealed that he is officially a free agent — and both RAW and SmackDown are in play.
Backstage, Trick met with SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis and made it clear that RAW is offering big money. He came to Aldis to see if the blue brand could match the offer and make a competitive play to sign him.
The conversation was interrupted by Cody Rhodes, who approached Aldis about his escalating situation with Drew McIntyre. Williams wasn’t thrilled about being cut off and let everyone know it.
“You’re talking to an Iron Survivor Winner, a former 2-time NXT Champion, North American Champion, and TNA World Champion,” Trick said, checking Cody without hesitation.
He didn’t stop there — Williams threw out a clear warning, saying that if Aldis plays his cards right, he just might come after Cody’s Undisputed WWE Championship.
The segment instantly fueled speculation that WWE is positioning Trick Williams for a major main roster push, possibly as soon as early 2026. With his championship résumé and rising star power, Trick is letting the world — and Cody — know he’s no longer asking for a seat at the table. He’s coming for the head of the table.
Will Trick Williams sign with SmackDown and challenge for Cody’s title? Or will he take RAW’s offer and shake up the red brand instead? Let us know where you think Trick should land.
