Former five-star wide receiver Cam Coleman has reportedly informed Auburn he plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel.

Coleman is expected to be one of the top players available when the portal opens Friday. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound standout has two years of eligibility remaining and is projected as a potential NFL draft prospect in 2027. He led Auburn with 708 receiving yards and five touchdowns on 56 receptions this season, highlighted by a career-high 143 yards against Vanderbilt. As a true freshman in 2024, Coleman caught 37 passes for 598 yards and eight scores.
The Phenix City, Alabama, native was the No. 5 overall recruit in the 2024 ESPN 300 out of Central High School. He was previously committed to Texas A&M Aggies before flipping to Auburn late in the cycle.
Coleman is the latest Auburn starter to enter the portal amid a coaching change. Auburn fired Hugh Freeze on Nov. 2 and hired Alex Golesh on Nov. 30.
Auburn has lost 25 players during this upcoming cycle. Seven are rated four-star or better with Coleman and Penn State’s Chaz Coleman being the only two five-star talent nationally.
