If taking care of business could be encapsulated by any one victory by the TCU Horned Frogs this season, it was the December 29 51-point rout of the Jackson State Tigers. TCU led wire to wire, opening the game on a 10โ0 run before ripping off an 11โ0 spurt just minutes later.
By the 9:56 mark, the Frogs had already scored 25 points and built a 13-point advantage. Everything seemed to find the bottom of the net, with easy buckets serving as the cherry on top. TCU surpassed the 30-point plateau with over eight minutes remaining following an Xavier Edmonds and-one slam and a Micah Robinson triple.
While the Tigers were able to match the Frogsโ runs from time to time, it wasnโt nearly enough. After Jackson State cut the deficit to 12 with 4:41 remaining in the first half, TCU reeled off a 13โ2 run to take a 23-point lead into the halftime break.

The Frogs took their first 30-point lead with 18:01 left in the contest after a David Punch slam. Five minutes later, a Jase Posey dunk pushed TCUโs advantage to 40. The latter portion of the second half was smooth sailing for the Frogs, as several end-of-rotation playersโincluding freshman Kayden Edwardsโreceived extended looks as the clock wound down. Even sophomore big man Adam Stewart scored his first basket of the season, which happened to be TCUโs final field goal of the night, sealing a 115โ64 win.
The 115 points marked the most the Horned Frogs have scored in 24 years. TCU shot an unbelievable 65.2 percent from the field, 48.1 percent from beyond the arc, and a perfect 100 percent from the charity stripe. Of the Frogsโ 45 made field goals, 37 were assisted. TCU also scored 28 points off turnovers and added 35 in transition.
On the flip side, Jackson State shot 38.9 percent from the floor and 38.1 percent from three-point range.

Micah Robinson chipped in 19 points and nine dimes, while Kayden Edwards added a career-high 14 points to go along with five boards and five dimes. Even without scoring, Brock Harding impacted the game with 10 assists and no turnovers. The Tigers had three players score in double figures, led by Daeshun Ruffinโs 21 points.
