With no games on the schedule last week, the Iowa State women’s basketball team had no place to go in the latest polls.
The Cyclones remained at No. 10 for the fourth straight week in the latest USA TODAY Sports Network coaches poll released on Dec. 30.

It’s no big surprise since Iowa State didn’t have a game during the holiday break. The Cyclones are 13-0 on the season including 1-0 in Big 12 Conference play.

Iowa State’s last game came on Dec. 21 when the Cyclones picked up a 79-76 win over Kansas on a buzzer-beating 3-pointer by Kenzie Hare.
The Cyclones play at Houston on Dec. 31. Another win would match the 2013-14 Cyclones for the best start in school history when Iowa State won 14 straight games to begin the year.
Iowa State is ranked No. 10 in the Associated Press poll as well. That poll will not be updated until Jan. 5 because of the long layoff from the holidays.
