Former USC players rip Lincoln Riley, Trojans following TCU loss

by

On Tuesday night, USC suffered a heartbreaking 30-27 overtime loss to TCU in the Alamo Bowl. With the defeat, the Trojans finished their 2025 campaign with a record of 9-4.

USC had TCU backed up in overtime. The Horned Frogs faced 3rd and 20 from the 35-yard line and were in a difficult position. The best-case scenario for TCU seemed to be a 7- or 8-yard checkdown to get into more manageable field goal range and kick a medium-length field goal just to tie and force double overtime. Sure enough, TCU did throw a checkdown, but it turned into a 35-yard game-winning touchdown due to four missed tackles by USC defenders near the sideline.
