The final major MMA card of 2025 is in the books after RIZIN FF concluded its annual New Year’s Eve extravaganza in Japan.
Wednesday’s card from the historic Saitama Super Arena saw a plethora of highlight-reel finishes and noteworthy results on a lineup that included four championship fights at the top of the bill.

In the main event, Razhabali Shaidulloev (17-0) defended his featherweight belt for the second time with a first-round TKO of Mikuru Asakura (19-6), who was overwhelmed with strikes inside three minutes. After the bout, Shaidulloev received praise online as arguably the best fighter outside of the UFC currently – and especially at 145 pounds.
The co-headliner saw the quickest and most spectacular outcome of all, with Ilkhom Nazimov (13-3) taking the lightweight belt from Roberto Satoshi (20-4) in just 13 seconds courtesy of a pinpoint right step knee that immediately that to the knockdown and fight-ending sequence.
In other championship action, Hiromasa Ougikubo (30-8-2) outworked Yuki Motoya (39-15) for a unanimous decision to claim the vacant flyweight title, while former Bellator title challenger Danny Sabatello (17-4-1) relied on grappling in a split decision over Naoki Inoue (20-5) to take home bantamweight gold.
