Another AEW star is headed to the sidelines.
According to Fightful Select, Luchasaurus is dealing with a legitimate shoulder injury suffered recently. While AEW got creative with his on-screen role at Worlds End and Dynamite: New Year’s Smash, the situation behind the scenes is far more serious.
During the December 31, 2025 episode of Dynamite, Luchasaurus appeared with a heavily wrapped shoulder and was quickly taken out by Toa Liona during a match segment. At the time, fans speculated it might be storyline, but sources now confirm the injury is real—and significant enough that Luchasaurus is expected to miss in-ring time.
The full extent of the injury hasn’t been revealed, and it’s not yet known whether surgery will be required. AEW has not issued an official statement as of this writing.
