I’m a Golf Shoe Expert. Here Are My 5 Best Golf Shoes of 2025

by

When I say I’m a golf shoe expert, I mean it.

My credentials are what they are. I’ve tested more than 150 different golf shoes from every brand under the sun. I know what makes a good golf shoe and I know just as well what constitutes a poor performer.

Each year, MyGolfSpy tests spikeless and spiked golf shoes according to strict protocols to tell you which golf shoes to buy and which to avoid. You can read those articles HERE.

But as one singular human with an affinity for golf shoes, I, too, have my own list of what I think are the best golf shoes you can buy. You’ll notice that in some places, it aligns with our Most Wanted testing. In others, though, my personal preferences shine through.

With those caveats in mind, here are the best golf shoes of 2025, according to me.

1. PAYNTR FO Rainshedder RS1

If you follow me on Instagram, you saw this one coming. It is unequivocally my personal best shoe of the year. PAYNTR’s Speed Classic platform is the best in the game, and they have only elevated its performance by adding a waterproof shroud and a knit bootie.

Not only is it the best golf shoe of the year but I also think it’s one of the best-looking golf shoes of the year as well. I love a good bootie!

2. NIKE Victory Pro 4

I’ve ranted and raved about the Victory Pro 4 all year. The Scottie Scheffler shoe is undoubtedly the best that NIKE has done in years and most certainly their best shoe this decade. I love it so much that it’s stayed in my car all year as the pair that I grab and go play with. Oh, and it’s less than $150, which is amazing compared to the competition.

If you’re looking for a budget-friendly spiked shoe, you won’t find many better options.

3. adidas TOUR360

Yes, the iconic TOUR360 franchise had to make my list because the 2024/25 iteration is so dang good. It’s probably the most well-rounded golf shoe on my list when it comes to strictly performance. A perfect balance of stability, traction and comfort. Couple that with the premium leather upper and wide swath of color options and there’s no doubt the TOUR360 is on my exclusive list.

Because it technically came out in 2024, most pairs are on sale at this point which is a big win.

4. Alma Mater Beta Longwing

Very rarely has a first iteration product impressed me this much. But the Alma Mater Beta Longwing is, without a doubt, one of the best golf shoes I’ve worn this year. Its got all the tech and performance that the big brands are offering. No, they aren’t cheap, but once you step foot into a pair like this, you’ll wonder why you ever went with something of lesser quality.

If you’re OK with a heavier shoe built from real, raw materials, this is a no-brainer.

5. adidas Adizero ZG

Rounding out my list is another adidas model, this time of the spiked variety. The adizero ZG is one of those shoes that dropped really early in the year so it’s easy to forget. It’s lightweight, provides great step-in comfort and features one of the best spikeless traction patterns you’ll find on the market.

If you’re looking for something light and walkable, this is the shoe to get.
