The Georgia Bulldogs have been named among the contenders to land Auburn Tigers transfer wide receiver Malcolm Simmons. Georgia along with Arkansas, Texas A&M and Kentucky are all expected to compete to land the talented transfer.

We’ll find out soon enough where Simmons and other top college football transfers end up. The NCAA transfer portal officially opens on Jan. 2, so Simmons and other players can’t enter the portal until then, but Simmons plans to do so and we expect things to move fast as soon as the portal opens.

Simmons is coming off a strong end to his sophomore season with Auburn. The speedy receiver is a big-play threat. Simmons finished his 2025 campaign with 25 receptions for 457 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He also ran the ball four times for 42 rushing yards and a touchdown. Simmons is No. 14 in the country with an average of 18.3 yards per receptions.

Simmons was especially productive in Auburn’s two final games of the regular season (vs. Mercer and vs. Alabama). The 6-foot, 185-pound pass catcher posted at least 140 receiving yards and a touchdown in both of Auburn’s last two games of the year. Simmons also has experience as a punt and kickoff returner.

The Auburn receiver’s explosiveness jumps off the tape. Simmons is a former track athlete and is ranked as the No. 18 receiver in the portal and the No. 65 player. He’s considered a four-star transfer.
