Joe Rogan has legitimate concerns about Tom Aspinall‘s fighting future.
Longtime UFC commentator and podcaster Rogan is greatly worried about Aspinall (15-3 MMA, 8-1 UFC) and his long-term eye health as he continues to experience complications more than two months after Ciryl Gane (13-2 MMA, 10-2 UFC) poked him in both eyes in the UFC 321 heavyweight title headliner, resulting in a no contest.

Aspinall’s latest update included the revelation that he will be undergoing surgical procedures on both eyes in hope of clearing up lingering vision issues and open the door for him to rematch Gane for gold in 2026.
There could still be a long runway until that happens, though, because according to Rogan, it’s still a serious situation.
“That’s a disaster,” Rogan said on his “JRE MMA Show” podcast. “Tom Aspinall still can’t see. He’s got a f*cked up right eyeball, still. The reality is he might not ever fight again. Who knows? If he has surgery on his eye and it doesn’t go well and he can’t see out of the eye β apparently he’s still f*cked up in his right eye.
“There’s some tendon damage or something. And eyes are so tricky. You never know. Unless you’re a complete fucking psychopath like Michael Bisping, who fought 11 fights in the UFC blind in one eye, which is so crazy that he did that.”

From Aspinall’s recent comments, there is still much desire from him to get back into the octagon and settle the score with Gane, whom he now has ill will toward in the wake of how the fight ended and has accused of being an intentional cheater.
